An immigration medical exam is a medical examination that is required for individuals who are seeking to immigrate to a new country. The purpose of this exam is to ensure that the applicant is not carrying any communicable diseases or illnesses that could pose a public health risk. The exam is typically conducted by a designated physician authorized by the government of the country where the applicant is seeking to immigrate. The exam will typically include a physical exam, blood tests, and other diagnostic tests as needed. The results of the exam will be documented on a medical report form which will be submitted as part of the applicant’s immigration application.
While the exam itself is not covered by health insurance, the labs and the screening tests may be covered if you have health insurance all depending on your insurance carrier. You will have to reach out to them directly to ask about coverage. For those who don’t have insurance or choose not to use insurance, we have direct pay rates that are affordable.
